The fanless embedded PC "Box Computer(R)" and the all-in-one industrial PC with a touchscreen display "Panel Computer" have implemented the "Power Cut Protect(R)" feature, which supports operation without shutdown processing, and are being released sequentially. By adopting CFast SSD as the boot drive, we have achieved a fanless and spindle-less design with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB 2016 pre-installed. This feature protects data being written even during sudden power outages, and when used in conjunction with Windows' lockdown (disk write suppression) function, it enables safe power-off without the need for OS shutdown processing. The products compatible with "Power Cut Protect(R)" utilize SSDs equipped with powerful protection features. When a voltage drop occurs, the SSD immediately stops accepting new write operations, performs the final write operation before power is lost, and prevents data loss. Additionally, the write protection feature of the SSD can be easily enabled through BIOS settings.
